Cathy Leman is the founder and owner of NutriFit, Inc., a nutrition counseling, consulting, and worksite nutrition services business located in Glen Ellyn, IL. She is a registered dietitian, certified personal trainer, and holds a masters degree in health psychology.
Cathy's passion is teaching people how to tap the power of good nutrition for health. In her private practice she provides one-on-one nutrition therapy for weight management, disease prevention and management, general health and wellness, and in the treatment of eating disorders, and emotional and disordered eating.
Through her worksite nutrition services, Cathy provides nutrition education and communication to corporations, academia, and associations via Lunch and Learn seminars, health fairs, healthy cooking demonstrations, and more. Her "Q4 Balance | Vision | Action" program offers organizations the opportunity to host a yearlong, targeted nutrition program.
As a speaker, Cathy lectures on nutrition and fitness to corporations, women's organizations, dietetics, health, and fitness professionals, and other groups. As a nutrition consultant, she works with the nutrition and food industry to provide objective nutrition expertise.
A prolific author, Cathy writes original as well as contracted freelance nutrition and fitness articles, booklets, newsletters, and on-line content. She writes a monthly newspaper column, "Eat Well, Work Better" for The Business Ledger, is the contributing writer for Publication International's "Good Carb, Better Carb Cookbook", and writes for the internationally distributed IDEA Personal Trainer and IDEA Health and Fitness Source magazines.
Cathy is the creator and author of the NutriTips booklet series, which provide easy, basic answers and actions to frequently asked nutrition questions. Currently available titles are "Nutrition At Work: 60 Simple Ways To Eat Healthy On The Road And At The Office" and "Eat Healthy. Live Healthy. 114 Easy Ways To Make Good Nutrition A Habit".

Cathy is a member of the American Dietetic Association, Nutrition Entrepreneurs, Sports, Cardiovascular and Wellness Nutritionists (SCAN), and Nutrition in Complementary Care. She is certified as a personal trainer through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and is a member of IDEA Health and Fitness Association.
An honors graduate of the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC), Cathy holds a BS in Human Nutrition and Dietetics, completed her dietetic internship through UIC, and earned her master's degree (MA) in Health Psychology from National-Louis University.
