Studio Story
In early 2010 Cathy Leman learned that Suite #233, the funky, charming space in the old Glen Ellyn State Bank building that housed her private nutrition practice was available once again. A 10-year veteran of the building, she had witnessed Suite #233 vacancies several times.
The first time she saw it empty, she thought that it would make the perfect personal training studio and nutrition counseling business. The thing was, at that time she did in-home personal training and had no need for a studio.
Now, she realized she could use one. Cathy had put her personal training business on hold for a couple of years to grow her nutrition practice and worksite nutrition services business. But seeing that space vacant once again, the space she’d long admired, well, it beckoned. She envisioned creating the environment her clients experienced in their homes; comfortable, non-intimidating, a place they would feel nurtured and empowered, not self-conscious.
She took the plunge, signed the lease, and got to work outfitting “the chandelier studio”, as she affectionately calls it. In June of that same year her fitness and nutrition studio came to life. People have gravitated to the beautiful space and embraced her individualized, realistic approach. Clients also appreciate NutriFit’s unique fee structure and cherish the friendships and camaraderie that effortlessly develop here.
“We’re thrilled to serve as a knowledgeable, credible source for nutrition and fitness, and look forward to many more years in this wonderful community” says Leman.
